WORLD CANCER DAY

Cancer remains one of the world’s leading causes of death, and its burden is growing. In 2021, the world crossed a sobering new threshold – an estimated 20 million people were diagnosed with cancer. Thanks to novel diagnostic methods and continuous research, prevention and treatment are moving in the right direction. However, as the COVID-19 pandemic enters its third year, those facing cancers are still experiencing delays in diagnosis and treatment, and continue to struggle with feelings of anxiety, loneliness, and isolation.
